A.B.L.E. Kids NJ seeks to empower children with Autism and their families through education, advocacy and connection.
A.B.L.E. Kids NJ was founded in March 2026 with a mission to empower children with autism and their families to reach their full potential and enhance their quality of life.
We support families through education and training that helps them better understand their child’s unique needs. Through both individual and group sessions, we equip caregivers with practical strategies to confidently support their loved ones at home and in everyday life.
At the same time, we are committed to fostering a stronger sense of belonging within the community. We connect families to local resources, build supportive networks among caregivers, and partner with community organizations to promote greater inclusion and accessibility for individuals with autism.
A.B.L.E. Kids NJ also provides IEP advocacy services for families who need guidance navigating the special education system. We work to ensure that every child receives a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

PerformCare provides services to children (up to 21) with a diagnosed behavioral or developmental disability. They seek to provide access to publicly funded services through a statewide New Jersey’s system of Care (NJSOC). They provide services including respite, ABA services, assistive technology, and 2 weeks of summer camp.
An advocate will go with you to your child’s IEP meeting and help advocate for your child’s educational needs. Prior to the IEP meeting we will meet with you to discuss your concerns, review the old IEP and any assessments you may have. We will go into a meeting with a plan of action and discuss next steps if the district is still not willing or able to meet your child’s needs.
